This is a really nice restaurant with great water views. The atmosphere is very cozy and classy. We had a pizza which was very... good ???? and a brisket sandwich with onion rings. The sandwich was also very good. The dining room was not too loud and thestaff was very nice. We happened to be seated between a shift change unfortunately... It happens that we didn't see any waitstaff for nearly 20 minutes after being seated. We did enjoy the meal and the views. I would recommend to anyone to try TheButler, and I will go back again soon. Check this place out. I'm sure you will find it to be worth it. Read more

Nice atmosphere! We went in November, I?m sure it is even cooler when it?s warm out because they have a patio. The food was... amazing. We read the reviews before we went, so we got the crab stuffed mushrooms and did not regret it! The burger and primerib were also great. Definitely recommend. Read more

The saving grace from this experience was our server Tiana. Quite busy for a Friday night during off season. We did have a... reservation as we were there for a bachelorette party. There really isn?t a separate space for larger groups so we were in thedinner room and it started getting TOASTY. A bit warmer than usual November nights but wasn?t really accounted for until someoneasked to open a window. We got the Sweet Potato nacho fries and buffalo pretzel fondue as apps. Both delicious, solid 5/5.Majority of us got the braised beef ravioli (special). It was meh; seemed under seasoned, the beef was in the ravioli, and theDemi-glace was pretty much a gravy. It wasn?t great. Someone at our table ordered the salmon, it was the last dish out and itwas raw so we had to send it back. Someone else had the walleye but the mashed potatoes and asparagus were cold. Heard the steakwas good and someone else got a sandwich that was decent. The harvest pizza was by far the best; very fall flavors, textures, crust was ????????????????Maybe it was just an off night but disappointing for price point. Read more

We ate at the Butler on our last night in the area a few weeks ago. Views outside at sunset were beautiful. Nice... atmosphere. Service was good, but not fast. We had to wait almost an hour to get a table so we busied ourselves walking throughthe nearby shops. We ordered drinks and an appetizer when we were seated. Drinks took close to 20 minutes and when we receivedour appetizer, it was lukewarm. We waited over an hour to get our dinners. The food was pretty good though. Servers werefriendly too. Read more

Average in all points We spent our Labor Day with friends in Saugatuck and got our dinner at the Butlers. As we didn?t had... reservations we took our first drinks at the bar, till after 45 minutes our table was freed and we could eat. It has this niceoutdoor patio bar where we were placed and could see the lake and the passing people, which is a nice atmosphere.. While thereis a good beer selection, the request for an espresso martini was a ?to-special? task for the very nice barkeepers. But thecocktail was fun and good. The meal was a little bit chaotic, as the servers were very busy and occupied by all the guests. Sowe had some misshaps with the orders. E.G. my rare burger was to long kissed by the fire. Requests for cuttlery, water, refillshad to be repeated a few times. The seasoning for the different food items was way to subtle, a little more wow would do thefood good. The pricerange is upper middle, so the expectations are also a little bit higher than by a cheap fast food joint.Overall nothing special, nothing bad - just average. Read more
