This bakery has the BEST gluten free vanilla cake and chocolate icing. It?s so dense and worth every calorie. The Eclairs are... something out of my dreams. Reminds me of being in NYC and getting a big amazing pastry from a French bakery. The staff are sokind and helpful. They even made me a last minute gluten-free birthday cake that was decorated gorgeously. The hours are muchlonger than a typical bakery which is extremely helpful. It?s an idyllic day to take a walk and get a treat from this shop. It?sgiving best life vibes. Seriously, go here. You won?t regret it. We ordered custom cookies as wedding favors for our daughter and son-in-law - they were so beautiful and incredibly tasty! Each... cookie was so beautiful and individually wrapped with a beautiful raffia bow and a sticker with a personal message as well asthe ingredients. So many people told me how much they loved them! We've visited 3 times lately and have been highly impressed with the consistency of everything we've tried. Cookies, mousse,... tiramisu, lemon bars, flour free chocolate torte and biscotti--all amazing. Every time I've gone I've gotten an eclair, and mmmmso amazing. I was visiting the Saugerties area and my daughter wanted to check out the clothing stores but I wanted to go to a bakery so I... picked the Hudson Valley Dessert Company. And it was fantastic! I only purchased four cookies and even with this small orderthe young lady who took care of me was very lovely. I chose a raspberry thumbprint, a chocolate coated raspberry shortbread, ahalf-coated chocolate shortbread heart and a biscotti like cookie which I believe is Mandelbrot (my first time having). Thesecookies were all equally fresh with great flavor! I live in the downstate area and work part-time in NYC where I have gone tocountless bakeries (my weakness obviously) and these cookies match up to any cookie I have had in the city, and even exceed myexperience at some of the well known ones.
