So, it's in a strip mall, yes - but give it a chance. This was the best sushi I have had in recent memory. Eating it gave me a... warm fuzzy feeling all over (may have been the Sapporo). If you eat much sushi, you probably know that the difference betweengood sushi and great sushi is the rice. This is great sushi. It made me acutely aware of the 3.5 billion year evolutionaryhistory of the fish. I felt the weight of time and the interconnections of the planet's biochemical cycles. I observed myself asa self observing. It dawned on me, I and the fish were a single entity encompasing everything. By consuming it I participated ina willfull internal restructuring of the distribution of matter and energy in the universe. I was not in control any more thanthe fish was. If your going to go for sushi your better off at the Haiku in bronxville, I?ve really tried to give this place a chance but... everytime I go it disappoints me. I found a salmon bone in my sushi and you could tell that the fish was most definitely notfresh. Anytime I get raw sushi from this restaurant I feel unwell for the rest of the night, and I haven?t had this issue at anyother sushi place. I?m sure the other food is good but any type of raw fish or substances is probably not safe to order here inall honesty. Read more

Very good customer service. Great tasting food. Nice ambience. Very family oriented and still perfect for a date night. Entrees... are very filling. Drinks taste good. Very wide selection of sushi and appetizers. My personal preference of wishing there was awider variety for the chef rolls as most were same items in different order. Read more

Haiku at Eastchester invariably is a decent dine in experience. Last night - we got seated but waited almost 1 hour and 15 min... for food to arrive. The better approach is to tell customers that there is over an hour wait rather than seat us, take an orderand make customers wait for over an hour.
