If you haven’t been to La Torretta it’s a must go place! Darius did a last minute to go order for my sons birthday party and... everything was a hit! Big portions at reasonable prices! The best little family owned Italian restaurant in Scottsdale! Read more
We were a party of 5, and sat for 45 minutes before we got menus. I ordered a glass of Chianti, as did one other person in our... party. My husband order a beer on tap, and the other two people had water. After an hour, we ordered our food. My husbandordered Spaghetti Bolognese with a little extra spice, and the other couple in our group ordered the same dish without extraspice, to split. The fifth member of our party ordered Chicken Parm. Two hours into the experience we got our food, but thespicy dish was given to the couple who didn’t want spicy. When they traded dishes with my husband, we saw the dishes wereswitched. My husband casually mentioned the error to the owner/waiter. The man denied that there was any mistake, and debatedthe issue with my husband, finally blaming him! The friend who ordered the chicken said the sauce was good, but the chicken wasrubbery. The waiter/owner simply said he couldn’t believe it. When we finally finished our meals, we were charged for twoglasses of Chianti. I told the owner/ waiter and he told me he brought me two glasses of wine, and argued the point with me. Istated when I ordered the wine I would only have one since I was driving. After more argument from our esteemed waiter/owner, hetook the second wine that I never had off the check. It was a meal to remember for all the wrong reasons. Will not be returningto La Torretta. Husband took me here for my birthday. It is a cute little spot on the corner. Staff was extremely friendly and the food was so... good! Picture below is the salmon in a cream lemon sauce with veggies. We got the calamari as an appetizer. The Marinara saucewas fantastic! We will be back! Read more
