This place is pretty cool, the food and drinks we tried were good. We did the guacamole for an appetizer, it was good and you... get a bunch. For dinner we had the mixed skewers, they were good. Tiny bit spicy but good. Tomahawk steak was yummy. First timetrying one and it was delicious. Strawberry walnut spinach salad was good. All the food presentations were great. The drinkswere all good not sure of the names though. We tried a martini with cotton candy on it. A drink in a tiny bathtub, one in acoconut and a margarita. We had reservations for 545 got there a little early and was seated right away. Looked like they werelittle easy on the dress code then. The place got super busy at 7 and dress code looked to be enforced more then. The DJ cameout at 7 along with the shot guy. The noise of the place wasn't bad before 7 you could talk pretty easily, after 7 the music wasturned up and it was hard to hear. Was excited to check this place out when a friend recommended it. Of course I checked out the Google reviews & pics online... prior. The reviews weren't the best but I had to try it for myself. For starters they present themselves as a restaurant with aday club (pool) So I was even more excited to get brunch here and lounge by the pool. We arrived shortly after opening to beasked if we had reservations (we were the only customers) then were told there's a dress code & the pool didn't open til 4pm. Wewere disappointed about the pool but decided to still try the menu. The decor was amazing and the waitress was helpful. Now tothe food and drinks. Let's just say it was overpriced basic food. Definitely lacking in flavor and portion size. Not only didthe food disappoint but it took 40mins to get our food. Reminder we were the only ones in the restaurant when we ordered. We went to Mama Por Dios for a birthday dinner. We had a party of over 20 people and the service was great for such a large... party. The drinks, shots and food were all amazing. Great experience! I read the reviews ahead of time so I was prepared to flag down my server, pay $7 for water, etc etc but that... didn’t happen at all. Our waiter was very attentive and checked on us multiple times, glass of water was free, loved mybathtub drink! And I thought the atmosphere was fun with the music and dancing. The prices weren’t bad, I paid $40 for mixedskewers which were amazing and it came with salad, rice and beans. My friends and I had a great time. The only thing I wouldchange is the strobe light that was above our table sometimes would get really flashy and that was hard on the eyes. Went for an early dinner, 5:15. Only valet parking available, which is annoying since the entire lot is exclusively valet and... no one was parked in the entire lot. So pull up and get out assuming it might be just a few bucks. As the valet hands us ourticket, he says it will be $12! Seriously $12?! I get it that this place turns into a night club late in the evening but tocharge $12 parking for a 5 o’clock dinner is just plain greedy. Service was lacking as well. Waitress was pleasant but thebar took probably 15 minutes to get us our drinks. Mind you, we were the only ones in the restaurant at that time. Food cameout quickly but then, getting the check after dinner also took a very long time. Still not sure why since there were only 2other tables by then with plenty of wait staff. Noise level was excessive for 5pm as well. Once again, I realize this placeturns into a night club late at night and it’s the “vibe” but clearly they aren’t or don’t want to be successful atbringing in people for an early dinner, even on a Friday night. On a positive note, the food was good. Nothing spectacular butgood. So in closing, if you are looking for a night club, this place might be great. If you are looking for dinner…goelsewhere. Read more
