Family restautant for some comfort food. Upon entering you are greeted by a caged monkey. Then find your own table. Check out... the daily specials which are also on their facebook page. Selected the turkey dinner which was one of the specials thay includedstuffing and cranberries. Then selected two sides, I had the mashed potatoes with gravy and corn. Large portion that I couldn'tfinish, but now have lunch for tomorrow. The stuffing had a consistency that wasn't familiar to me. Finished off with a slice oflemon meringue pie. Great Hometown, Homemade, Comfort Food Restaurant in the Heart of Sealy, Tx. just off I-10 on Tx 6. The staff are friendly and... the food is hot, fresh and cooked to order. They have a huge dining room with both counter and table service. They also have aprivate room in the back for large groups. The food is delicious and hopefully you save room for a slice of one of theirhomemade pies, at least a half dozen to choose. Plenty of parking and hard to miss the huge sign at the corner. Chicken fried steak is hand breaded. Pies looked great. Breakfast is probably the best bet. And old fashioned diner type place.
Have you ever been dragged to your grandparents' favorite place to eat? This is that place...only it's packed with all kinds of... folks with your typical food fare: pancakes, eggs, hash browns, etc. We did see HUGE biscuits that everyone was eating alongwith the Sunday Special that was chicken fried steak.
