It’s the biggest name for a steakhouse in Seattle. No doubt. Their waiters are awesome. I went yesterday and Oka served me and... my friend. He’s been there for sixteen years. The food was great, but not mind blowing. We started with delicious cocktails, a Pork Belly Smoked Old Fashioned (the campfire nose works exceptionally well with the... slightly extra sweetened OF), and The Last Word (if you're familiar with maraschino liqueur, this cocktail will taste exactlyhow you'd expect--yum!). The "Insane Truffle Soup" was creamy and unctuous, and the kimchi mignonette added a lovely kick to thefresh oysters. Our chateaubriand was beautifully crusted and tender inside (rare side of medium rare), and the cliff sauce wassuper decadent. Finished with a not necessarily noteworthy key lime pie (aside from looking quite sharp), but still exactly whatI wanted. The WhistlePig Double Malt 18 Year Rye was a perfect final note. This place is famous for their steaks. The atmosphere was great for a date night, a meal with the family or just grabbing drinks... in the bar. Exceptional service was provided by each member of the staff from the valet attendant, and the hostess, to ourserver and every other member of the staff who made it a special point to congratulate my wife and me for choosing theirrestaurant for our special night.
