Brisket tasted like it was cooked in a slowcooker instead of a smoker, because there was no smoke ring or bark. sauce was... kinda good. Expensive as well Read more
Just came in for a late lunch. We got two light plates - pulled pork and brisket. Those come with just one side and some corn... bread - we got baked beans and potato salad. When we got two sides of beans instead the gentleman behind the counter was supergracious about it and gave us the salad no problem. Anyways, onto the food. I really liked it. Specifically I liked that it wasnot SWEET. Even my husband who is not a baked beans fan because of the usual sweetness, liked the beans here. Same with the BBQsauce. We got the medium which had enough to make your mouth tingle but not enough to swear. I'll probably go up a level when Icome back. I also intend to try the pork ribs next time as well. The meat is cooked separately with the sauce of your choiceput over the top at the end, as far as I can tell with the meat I ordered. The ribs may be different. So the meat is not cookedin the sauce but even still the pulled pork and brisket were nice and tender with its own flavors that complimented the sauce ontop. The potato salad was good too, not super mayonnaisey. I wasn't enthused about the corn bread but that's a minor detail,when is cornbread ever spectacular? So yeah, I would like to come back. Pulled pork was fantastic, good selection, portions, and prices. I wish they had a wider variety of BBQ sauces, but that could... be said of almost all BBQ places in the area. Read more
