The Owl and Thistle's menu, posted at the street entrance, was outdated, with prices less than what we were charged: The posted... price for the two piece fish and chips was $12.95, but we were charged $14.95. Also, contrary to photos on Google Maps, there isno longer a "Happy Hour Food Menu" nor the associated discounts. The drink menu also lacks details, so it's necessary tointerrogate the waitress to find out what the options really are and how large they are. The deep-fried fish was fine, howevertheirs was the smallest two pieces of fish I've ever eaten and the portion of fries was a pittance. I would caution judging fromthe photos, since their plates are relatively small. Also the server failed to follow through on the tiniest request regardingthe fries despite previously indicating it would be done. I'm told that the fish tacos were good and made with corntortillas. Used to when I lived across the street! Would sit in back room with my old pooch by my side and have the Happy Hour soft Fish... tacos ! Great value and yummy! Given this was in the worst of Covid days, I was always happy to find a place away from frontroom and Bar to take a little break away from isolation. My Sheila Girl passed away last January, and she so enjoyed the fries!I miss those visits with her! Staff was always so nice to her! Read more

Excellent pub fare in an old-fashioned atmosphere. I'm afraid I went there for lunch, but I would have loved to stay for the... happy hour. The food is your average pub fare, quite fresh and well-made. Got some fish and chips that hit the right spot, witha local pint to accompany it, worth it. Service was super affable (kudos to Kimberly!) and prompt. All in all, an excellentpub. Read more

My favorite Seattle bar! Just a block off the beaten path, but you gotta know to go. Small menu selection but great eats... including vegetarian options. A dark rustic ambiance with Irish decor and tons of character. One tv for sports, and a pull downprojector for big events. Always soccer to be found here and great service. Read more
