This place is a solid 4.5. Lunch bento is a deal at $16. (With free iced tea. ) Dinner can get expensive if you keep ordering... skewers and drinks, but isn't that obvious?. Lots of Japanese people eat here. Food is simple, healthy and high quality butnot "exciting". Staff treats you with kindness and respect. I recommend mushroom skewers with tare sauce. Definitely get the A5 Wagyu Skewers, Wagyu Sukiyaki, Buta no Kubiniku (Pork Neck), and the Mentaiko Creamy Udon Noodles. At... first coming here might seem odd, if you’ve never been to a place like this. The servers don’t actually take your order,theyre more there to answer any questions and run the food. Food was pretty good, the tonkatsu and creamy udon were my favorite! The sake was also really smooth and came with really pretty... glasses. We ordered the skewers all at once so they went cold which I would not recommend. Read more
Shinya was a surprise. So many options. I really liked the online order and payment system using the Qr Code. It made it easy to... get food fast this is a great date night spot - with plenty of dishes to share, which makes the night fun and interactive. Thehot sake was the perfect cap to the evening. Maybe my expectation was too high for this place, but I found this place pretty mediocre. We got a lot of skewers, thinking... they’d be really good, but I found them pretty average. Not bad, but not outstanding. The Tare sauce for the skewers can bequiet salty depending on the content. We also got a sukiyaki with udon, which I liked.
