Was at Selkirk Smittys at 230pm Friday. There was maybe 4 other customers in the resturant. We were extremely hungry we had not eaten all day. We were seated given menus and the server left. My husband flagged down a server to take our order , we she came over , we started ordering this server could not figure out how to process our order onto her tablet . She keep saying why won't it go in. After no action l said fine we are leaving and WALKED OUT. Are you kidding me no customer service at all. Maybe your staff needs to go back to pen and paper so a customer can at lest place an order. This used to be a great food stop now it has gone down hill do sorry to see. After Covid you would think everybody is happy to be working again. Wow were we wrong.l can only post this if we punch in 1 star. Actually it is ZERO stars.
If I could leave no stars I would. Was in Selkirk for the afternoon and figured we would stop in for lunch as we do when we're in Selkirk. Sat in the lounge for lunch just after 1pm. Service was prompt and great, but my meal was disgusting. Ordered the Cajun chicken burger. Well let me tell ya it definitely didn't look very appetizing, but looks can be deceiving. But with No artisan bun like it states on the menu, just a regular ole bun, definitely no Cajun seasoned chicken. Just plain chicken no seasonings at all, maybe 2 oz of chicken if that. Cajun seasoning dumped on-top of the melted cheese. One bite and was grossed out from the dried seasonings in my mouth. I should of dissected the burger further before actually taking a bite and wanting to vomit. Cook knew there was no artisan buns and should of told the server before preparing. What would of happened, if I or anyone else whom might have ordered had an allergy to Sesame seeds? I wasn't expecting a Sesame seeded bun hence why I ordered what I did. For the price that it costs, it should of resembled and tasted something like a chicken burger. A child could of cooked and assembled it far more restaurant quality than how it was prepared today. Even the server said she's never seen it look like that. Only good thing that happened during our dining experience was the young lady that served us, she was pleasant and very apologetic. Unfortunately I was unable to take a picture. I wish I would of had my cell phone with me, but needed some disconnect time.
We went for wings on Tuesday night, in the lounge, and I have to say it was just meh! Wings were so small from what you served before. 7.79 for a canned liquor beverage wow! My friend ordered wings and the wrong flavour came out. We told the waitress and she took them back, but then brought them back again and said the chef said these ARE honey garlic. Nooo they arent. Please just make new ones. Sure enough the next ones that came were properly made to what was ordered. Not sure if our server was new. She wasnt rude or anything, just didnt check on us much. We had to wave her down a few times. The Pina Colada we ordered was in a smaller glass, with no fruit as a garnish or anything. No pineapple or cherry. Like wtheck? Its like no one even tried.. or cared to make the food look interesting or exciting, in anything that was ordered. Very dissappointed. 2/5

Went today may 1 2022, amazing. Food was cooked perfectly. Staff were all so friendly. The only thing I am confused is it seems only half the menu is on the menu? Items in pictures are not listed on the menu.
waited at the door for a substantial amount of time, saw the hostess look right at us, ignored us, went to go sit down ourselves and she was blatantly rude showing she was obviously stressed, ?It?s busy right now?. okay, understandable, but you?re a business and you never snap or make it feel like it?s the customers fault. brown hair lady with a bun, decently short. bring in winnipeg waitresses/hostess at least they have class and manners :)
We go sat quickly and then was forgotten about for taking our orders. After finally flagging down a hostess to see where our server was. We ordered our food. 3 of the four identical meals and the last a breakfast special. Almost half hour later our food was served. Cold.. Over easy eggs still milky and under cooked and cold pancakes. Just wow. Our table wasn't the only one waiting... My condolences to the other people also waiting . Not fast .... not hot ... not good. Won't be back any time soon.
Ordered food for takeout, and this is what it came out to. A friend ordered New York Steak & I ordered Fish/Chips that cost $25.00+. 1st we waited forever for the food to arrive, but we didn't mind this because we were all dead HUNGRY, we just wanted something to eat. When everything came out, this is what it turned to... Steak was dry, looked and tasted as if it was microwaved. Fish/Chips was not even up to par to a frozen ready to eat meal. I don't mind having served two fillets of fish thats same sized as my ****, but the MASH POTATO it came out with was dead cold in the center! Whole horse****, never coming back. The only thing positive about the whole meal was the water, at least it was cold.
