Worst bbq I ever had. It tasted like they baked it in the oven and poured bbq sauce on it. I decided to try the bbq since the... breakfast was good but that turned out to be a mistake. I spent almost $100 on combo plates and a couple of other items for myfamily and everyone was disappointed. With a name like Hickory Pit, I expected it to taste like bbq and not oven baked. Read more
Food is always great! Service is wonderful as well. Everything we have ate has always been fresh and delicious!
My family absolutely loves the hickory pit!! There breakfast is better then anybody else's around and the dinner specials are... the best! I live off the parkway and don't mind driving the extra drive to eat here .. definitely a 5 star restaurant in myopinion Read more
For this restaurant to be owned by the Mayor of Semmes, you would think he would take better pride in it. Service is slow, food... is slow, cold, undercooked, no taste! Only thing that has been updated in the last 15 yrs is the advertisement on the tables,blinds are ugly, seat cover is loose, the wood flooring they glued to the walls is coming off, they need better recipes, bettercooks, waitresses and a manager. I have seen this place go down hill since the mayor took over. Read more
