We used to go to Mario's years ago. This is the first time we've gone since their re-opening. The remodel is nice but the food... was just ok. I also feel it's on the expensive side and we eat out fairly regularly in similar style and class of restaurants. Two adults and a child had a bill of $93. Two chicken dishes ($27 each, ridiculous), 1 child's meal, 1 appetizer (calamari), 1glass of wine, 1 soda = $93 without tip. I know cost's have risen and I'm sure everyone's jumping on the post-covid raise pricesbandwagon, but should a family of three expect a restaurant bill to be $100+ from now on? We are not the typicaleat-out/grub-hub/fast food every day family. We cook at home but every other week or so like to dine out. My real peeve wasn'tso much the bill - I have no problem paying for good food - but I didn't come away saying "that was great". As an example, theChicken Piccata was not the traditional, somewhat loose, delicate lemon-butter-caper pan sauce. Their "sauce" certainly hadcapers, but was basically a lemon-flavored, thick, congealed heavy goop (cornstarch?) that you can lift on a fork. I'm a prettygood cook myself and know my way around the kitchens and was a bit let-down. At $27 for 2 pieces of chicken, are you furthertrying to save money on butter and wine by serving a quasi-Piccata sauce? Come on. And the calamari appetizer at $16 was not agenerous portion. Finally, there was the cute little additional charge for using a credit card. Maybe that's reasonable ifcharging something for under $15, but to pull the additional money grab on a $115 dollar bill (including tip)? The regularcustomers who care more about cocktails will still wait for a table on a Saturday night, so I'm sure this won't affect much. Butas someone who goes to restaurants for good food, I was disappointed first time out. EDIT based on owner reply: Maybe we werecharged $27 for the chicken dishes in error, because when I did the math using $27 per dish it came out to exactly t Read more

What a beautiful place!!!! The relaxed ambience of the bar/lounge is popular with guests and the live band added to the... excitement of the evening. Not only is the waitstaff adorbs but super sweet!! My girlfriend got the meatballs (5??) my friendgot the Eggplant (5??) my other friend got the claims (5??) and unfortunately I ordered the seasonal veggies and pasta butdoubled the veggies and only half the pasta…. It came backwards, barely any veggies and way too much pasta, pasta was hard andveggies were not steamed properly (2??). The owners are adorable older sweet gentleman who came over to say hello. I woulddefinitely go back and try again, but not the veggie meal??. This place is super cool????????????. Read more
