I really wanted to like it but we had some issues with our stay. Check in was closed by 6pm so the keys were left in the door... for us. Our train car had critters in the couches and bed. No cell service and no info on Wi-Fi passwords so we couldn\'tcontact anyone about it. Ended up sleeping in my clothes at the kitchen table. Read more

This was the best and most relaxing experience I\'ve had in a very long time. It was a wish come true to sleep in a boxcar ever... since I read \"The Boxcar Children\" when I was 8 years old - 75 years ago. I\'m definitely coming back if I can. Read more

Stayed here twice now. The location is spectacular. If you float the river, you can exit a short walk from your train car. ... ATV and bike trails close by. Can\'t miss it from highway 89. Read more

I absolutely loved staying in the Rio Grande car. It was an awesome trip. All kinds of trails to explore, it was a little rocky... for our KLRs. GREAT for side by sides though!\n\nThe accommodations were awesome.\nNo wifi or cell reception until you\'re outof the canyon, and that\'s not a bad thing.\nIn a pinch, you can run over to the gas station for wi-fi and some ice cream too!And you don\'t even have to get on the road to get there!\n\nIt was such an excellent experience. Riding motorcycles and gettingbeat up by them all day, come back to a nice hot shower, have a beer, watch a little TV, or sit outside (it was COLD at nightwhen we went) and enjoy the view.\nThere is a cool little river that runs through and a bridge to take you to the start of allthe trails. We had a great time! Such a unique and fun experience. Each train car/caboose has a distinct theme which is a lot of fun.\nOur... only complaint is that they could be a bit cleaner and well kept. Things seem to be dirty (spider webs inside), in disrepair andin need of paint and other upkeep. A general lack of attention to detail is what holds me back from a five star rating. All inall, we will definitely be back for another visit. Hard to top a unique experience like this! Read more
