I am not one to review but this food was terrible. My sister ordered a chicken parm sandwich that she could eat because when she... bit into it it was hard piece that looked like a wing tail in her sandwich and dry. . Ordered fries that where not hot, orderedwings that where very dry and barley any sauce. We where not late picking up at all so that can?t be the excuse. In my quest to find good pizza in Washington Township NJ I decided to try Sal's Pizza. Here's my opinion. The sauce was very... good with a slight pleasant sweetness that I found very good. The cheese is high quality and not too oily. Finally, the crust.My major complaint with pizza in this area is the crust. None of the pizza shops around here have a clue with crust. It's alwayssuper floppy and you take a bite you can see that the inside is not cooked. Always. The bottom appears to be crispy but it'snot. It's not just Sal's it's everywhere in the Township. I am accustomed to places like Frank Pepe's, Trenton style pizza andlocals like King of Pizza. Crispy crust, cooked through with almost no flop when you first start eating one. I haven't given upand I'll keep trying but I just don't get it. If I wanted soft doughy crust I'd like Dominos but I don't. Sal's scores pointsfor flavor and now if they could only figure out the crust. Read more
