Disappointed. First time there and spent $68. Food was not very good. Shrimp toast burnt. Gravy for egg foo young was thick and... pastey. Crab rangoons over cooked. Nice people but they may have been too busy with carryout to care for my food. As an addendumto my review, the owner contacted me immediately after seeing what I said. He was sincerely apologetic and offered me a partialrefund. It's not what I wanted or asked for. He went above and beyond normal customer service. For that, I will return and givethem another shot. We'd dined here before and enjoyed returning to this restaurant with a 4.2 rating. Obviously popular with customers that return... often, Emerald Garden offers a menu that's extensive with familiar Chinese dishes and also specialty items. While my buddy hada huge plate of fried rice, I selected the Orange Beef ????, crispy marinated meat accompanied by broccoli ???? and a tastysweet sauce. The usual bowl of white rice is included. Our appetizer was fried wonton with dipping duck sauce. The seating isimmediate and the table service is great ????. We wound up here on accident because of a flat tire. While our car was being serviced we stopped in for dinner, and we were... incredibly pleased! Not only was the food amazing, the staff was so courteous and kind! They checked on us often, and they allseemed to have such good relationships with their other patrons! It was such a pleasant experience. If we ever wind up back inShrewsbury, we will definitely return! Read more
