What a find! The Oak Table Cafe was such an interesting restaurant, from the Guinness records awarded to the owner, to the... Beattles music sheet, to the decoration and layout of the building. The food was outstanding - the pancakes were butterysmooth, a great comfort breakfast for sure. I'm planning on stopping there again next time we're in the area. Read more

This is a high end breakfast place. The food is exceptional and delicious. The staff is attentive and well mannered. We enjoyed... our Apple pancake Souffle and the pigs in a blanket, their sausages are exceptional. The sourdough pancakes were alsodelicious! Expect to pay twice or more $ as your average diner. This is understandable as soon as you review the menu. Read more

I was honestly disappointed. I had heard such amazing things about this restaurant from my friends who live in the area, so I... was very excited to try it. The wait was an hour, which was expected. After we were seated, our waitress came and took our drinkorder. I paid $5 for an Arnold Palmer that honestly tasted like it was from Wendy's. Drinks aside, I ordered the baked mushroomomelette, which took over an hour to come out. The restaurant was also very stuffy and warm, as there was no moving air (atleast no noticeable moving air). Once the omelette arrived, it looked rather colorless and bland, and the taste mirrored that.It was under seasoned, and under cooked. Not by a long shot but definitely noticeable. The redeeming factor was the Dutch babyand the Bloody Mary. Both were absolutely phenomenal and the flavor profiles of the Bloody Mary were exquisite. Overall I'llgive the experience a 3/5 because I think they can do better, and I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with WhalingDays being in town and them being super busy. I plan on returning at a time that there aren't major events in town, with thehopes of redemption. I will be updating my review accordingly to reflect my experience after I return. I'm holding out hope forthis staple of Silverdale. Read more
