We threw our food out after one bite and ordered from a different food truck. Cold (very small) piles of fatty mush on sad buns.
4 stars primarily because of a long wait and having to wait longer after getting there. Bbq spicy sauce and pulled pork were... good. 4/5. Beans were 5/5 - honestly these should have a warning, quite a kick. Potato salad 5/5. Coleslaw 4/4. Homemade chips5/5. Corn bread was good, not a fan of the sweet butter though. Good BBQ? sometimes. So far this is the best BBQ in central Oregon that we have had. They do try to stay true to the meat and... about 80% of the time this is true. Just focusing on the ribs and brisket. The ribs I would give it a 7 out of 10 dogtenderness and the brocket I would give it also a 7 out of 10 on tenderness. They use a gluten free dry rub which my wifeloves, however they tend to pack the dry rub on their like nobodies business? there are plenty of bites that you can take thatmake the dry rub overpower the flavor of the meat (especially on the ribs). I won?t grade the sauce because BBQ is about howyou cook the meat and not how you hide behind other flavors. Many times the meat is pretty darn dry and doesn?t have that fallapart. I debated between a 3 or a 4 star and went with the 4 because all the other BBQ places here are worst. Read more
