Spa experience substandard: Massage was the worst I have had- my arm was dropped on table a few times, massage started 10... minutes late, cold oil dripped on me like Chinese torture and then rubbed on, I was slippery when I left. The draping was poorlydone - a quarter of my legs were touched. It was obvious this was an inexperienced new massage therapist who just doesn't getit. Poor girl- I paid full price and gave 20 percent tip and let the front desk know but no one offered assistance to me.Environment beautiful but they need good staff to provide services. Never again will I visit here. They are actively searchingfor staff- I see- checked online- they are getting the bottom of the barrel! Read more

I really, really debated on whether to give our experience 3 stars or 4. In the end, I decided that it deserved 4 stars, even... though we likely won't return to this location. We visited the spa for one of their packages -- it included two treatments foreach of us, a $40 voucher for lunch and access to the spa amenities. The treatments were great and I would return for those.Lunch was expensive, but the food and service were very good. My disappointment was the size of the relaxation and aqua terraceareas. They were small and crowded. There were only 10 loungers in the relaxation area and nearly impossible to get. We paid fora relaxing spa day and while the treatments were great, we didn't get the day we wanted. We've had great experiences at theirAlbany location. The next time we want to drop a bunch of money on a relaxing spa day, we will go there. The facility andgrounds are beautiful, but we just felt we didn't get the return on our investment. Read more

People with food allergies should be very careful when dining at the restaurant. My partner and I are both lactose intolerant... and we had mentioned this to the wait staff every meal. They said that they were very good with food allergies and assured usall would be well. Well... the food they gave us had butter in it, and while it was among some of the best food I've tasted, mypartner and I were sick for an entire day of our stay. My partner gets really sick when they eat dairy, so they were out for thecount for a full day. Which was rotten. The facilities are clean and well taken care of, it felt so good to be on their aquaterrace, enjoying the greenery and the baths. Mirabeau was a lovely escape for my partner and I (save the full day). The saunaand the pedicures were absolutely wonderful. The massage was nice, but the massage therapist rubbed too hard on my partner'sspine, and at one time I thought mine was going to pull my shoulder blade off like she was deboning a chicken. When we left ourbill was around 2k which we were happy to spend on ourselves. However, since my partner and I got sick... it grately diminishedone of our most expensive days. Read more

Mirbeau has become an annual visit with friends. I love the atmosphere! The quiet room is my favorite place to relax. The food... is delicious, the outdoor bar is wonderful when you are outside in the jacuzzi, and the amenities are perfect. We really enjoythat we can wear our robes up to the dining area for a snack and drinks. I highly recommend a spa day here! Read more
