I joke that Hub's is why I moved back to Chicago! Food is good and you leave there full. No frills just good food.

I have been coming here since the 1980s, though yesterday was my first time here in almost 20 years. When I lived in the area I... went almost weekly. Yesterday?s meal was a fantastic trip down memory lane with some great friends from the old neighborhood. I had the skirt steak sandwich and my friend had the 1/2 bbq chicken; it tasted the same as it did 20 years ago. They nowapparently bottle their own sauce through a separate entity and it tastes just like before. Even the staff is the same as itwas almost 40 years ago. This place is a treasure. I often gravitate to Herm?s or Poochies or even Grecian Kitchen when I amin the area. However, don?t sleep on hubs, this place is fantastic and has amazing consistency across decades. I have only beento the Lincoln Ave location one time as I grew up around the corner from the Demeter St. location. A true Skokie icon! Read more
The Exotic Salad. Absolutely Delicious! I had not been to Hubs in years and decided to pick up a Spinach Pie and a Gyros plate... for us when I found myself nearby, and at the last minute added an Exotic Salad without the chicken to share as a side for ourdinner. It was amazing. With the Strawberry Vinaigrette dressing. We didn't eat the whole salad, I have the spinach pie fortomorrow and most of the Gyros plate is is waiting to be eaten tomorrow as well. I'm not going to wait long before going backand I'm definitely ordering the salad again. Read more
