The food is the worst I have ever had. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was awful! Everything was tasteless, including... the gravy. This was the worst breakfast I have ever had. Can't remember our waitress name in Wilson but she worked extremely hard to make sure our breakfast was delightful experience.... Food was spot on as well...... At Smithfield..... This was my first time dining in Cracker Barrel. I lived in So Florida most of my life and they haven?t really expanded to that... area yet. This place has a pleasant old country atmosphere without the country bumpkin clientele we often find in mom&poprestaurants with the same decor. Very clean and VERY reasonably priced. The staff was wonderful. Our waitress was Gracen. Myapologies if I misspelled your name. We were very pleased with you. I had chicken fingers, fry?s and Mac&cheese. My wife hadchicken fried steak, carrots & tater tot casserole. Chicken fingers were tender and a huge serving. Fry?s we?re crispy andmac&cheese was baked to perfection. Chicken fried steak was good but had a bit of a frozen taste to it. Carrots & tot casserolewas good. They advertise that they now serve alcohol but sadly, it?s only beer & wine. this was one of the best restaurants i?ve ever been to! the food and service was so good! our waitress, makayla (if i spelled... that wrong i?m sorry) was so funny and nice. there?s really a good for everyone here! from chicken tenders and fries for pickiereaters, to strawberry pancake cheesecake for sweet teeth, they have everything!! the gift shop is also so nice, and they havesome really nice decor in the restaurant area.
