The food was okay but I made a very minor request to a very minor takeout order of vegetable spring rolls and chicken pad thai.... I wanted the hot sauce on the side. I guess it's my fault for not checking the bag before I left the restaurant, but this wasnot a six-person order. A reminder of why I don't patronize them often. Extraordinary! I highly recommend the Thai House to anyone in the Smithtown, NY area. The food is very authentic as the chef is... native to Thailand, the service is phenomenal- everyone is treated as if they are the only guest at the restaurant. The locationis very convenient, right on Main Street. The Thai House offers a great lunch menu with very good prices- their dinner menu isexcellent as well. The food is rather diverse and caters to many different palates. The restaurant itself is very clean and welldecorated. I highly recommend their dessert menu! When we went, the waitress took her time to explain the menu, the food andlearned about us so she could provide a recommendation. Quintessential “I don’t write reviews” starter but I truly do not. Posting publicly so I don’t want my name out there.... Anyway I used to go here quite often. The food was always good and the portion sizes always normal to generous. However thistime recently when I went the food had definitely taken a turn for the worst. My papaya salad I kid you not smelled like acheesy foot. I had to throw it away. I’ve eaten many papaya salads in my time and have never been hit with a smell like that.Drunken noodles weren’t spicy, and the portion size was very small. The green curry had a decent flavor but was very watery. Igot it with shrimp which were the side of a quarter if not smaller and only had 5 pieces at most in the pt container with littleto no vegetables. I could tell the rice was old as well. I wouldn’t go back, and it was truly a waste of money. super sad tosee how bad this place has gotten because I used to eat here twice a month in it’s hayday. Also, as a side note, when Iwatched food come out of the kitchen the plates are being garnished with little umbrellas you get in drinks. Not a good sign,ever. My go-to Thai place on long island! You can get a full dinner for like $15 and it's outstanding. Started coming here in 2015 and... I haven't stopped coming back. My favorite dish is probably the drunken noodles but their soups are fantastic and I regularlypick up their spring rolls. I've brought all of my friends and fily here, it's worth it. Read more

Very average food, not bad but unfortunately not very flavorful. The vegetables and tofu were really fresh but could have used... more sauce. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is nice.
