Me and a friend of mine visited here 3 weeks ago and the service was disgusting. I could see inside the kitchen and they were... touching the hot dogs bare hand after touching the door knobs, counter tops and other things. On top of that, the cashier wasmuttering his words had trouble understanding him. He also tried to charge me twice, luckily before he put my card back in Ichecked my credit card charges and showed them that they already charged me? Very disappointing service.. Read more
It's been quite a while since I have set foot in a Stewart's. The one on Route 27 south of New Brunswick has been at its... location for 40 years...maybe more. It still looks the same and still has car service (the server puts a tray with your food onyour rolled down window). They also have takeout but while they have stools inside it does not appear that they offer insidedining. We arrived just before closing at 8pm. The workers were very accommodating. I had the Philly cheese steak for $11which was delicious...loads of peppers, onions and melted American cheese with a generous portion of meat on a long roll. Thehotdog $4 with the works was excellent but the roll was bland and somewhat mushy. The fries were hot and tasty, again agenerous portion. It took about 10 minutes for the meal to be prepared. Of course I had to have the Root Beer which was justas good as I remembered. Go if you have the chance. You may be pleasantly surprised. Read more
Prices were good, service was prompt, and the ice cream was soooo creamy and flavor rich. Would go back!
