Absolutely fabulous pizza; even by North Jersey standards. After enjoying pizza all around the Garden State for the past 40... years this is definitely a top 5 on my list. The ambiance is lovely too; decently-sized but cozy enough, with modest lighting.Fabulous feel to the place. Parking is scarce out front but you will have no issues finding a spot on the street. Had to write this review after a recent visit with family. I've been a loyal patron of Sciortino's for many years going back to... the glory days of the original Perth Amboy location. Back then the pizza was SO GOOD that I took everyone I knew there toexperience the exceptional pies. The place sure had character and I miss it dearly. When we went there the other night weordered 3 pizzas and some appetizers. Our server was pleasant but I have NEVER experienced such a letdown in the quality of thepizza. I already knew it wasn't nearly as good as the original, but it was still pretty decent after the move to South Amboy.Now it is SO BAD that what used to be my go to is no longer even an option !!!! Pizza used (keyword: used) to be great, sweet sauce, meaty cheese, the whole Shabang, recently they have been skimpy on the... sauce, 1 thing that is always guaranteed good is the Gouda Mac Bites, best appetizer they have! I would come here more if theyweren?t so skimpy on the sauce. Read more
