Stayed nearby for a week in late July and discovered this spot on night 2. Loved it so much we went back three more times in a... week. Superb clam chowder - best ever - and excellent cod, both fried and stuffed. Very comfortable vibe whether sitting indoorsor outside. Perfect Cape spot for a weeklong vacation. Tldr: this place is great and prices are reasonable. The dim atmosphere adds to one of the best dining experiences I've had in a... long time. I've liked Lost Dog for years, usually getting wings or their specialty pizzas. I ordered fish (cod) for the first time a couple... months ago. It was dry, rubbery, flavorless. I gave it another shot today as a daily special, honestly forgetting about the badexperience prior. It was again rubbery and flavorless, thin, with the corners crispy. Just gross. It was the first time I've*ever* asked to send a meal back at a restaurant. I was given a hard time when I did. The server got defensive about the chefand the supposed quality of their food. I eat cod all the time and have never had cod that bad before. Whether the server andchef disagreed about it being bad or not should have been irrelevant. But if that's their idea of good fish, they have nobusiness running a restaurant on Cape Cod in my opinion. Read more

We stopped here for lunch while visiting Dennis on recommendation from a friend. There was only one waitress working on a Friday... around 1:15. She let us know right away she would be with us as soon as she could. You would have never had known that she waswaiting on more than 8 tables (we counted) The most organized and efficient waitress I have ever encountered and I used to thinkI was a damn good one back in the day. My greek chicken wrap was so good and my fries hot and crispy. She refilled my diet cokein a flash. Read more
