I have eaten here a few times and the food is quite good. The reason they are getting two stars is because of their Tuesday... "buck a shuck" oyster promotion. They advertise it in big letters on their sign outside, but what they fail to mention is thepromotion ends at 6:30. So I rolled in at 7:30 Not only ready to order a dozen oysters, but also an entree and some drinks. Itwas at that point the bartender informed me of the 6:30 cutoff and the price was now $3.50 per oyster. She also added "I know weshould really put that on the sign outside." As I looked around this near empty restaurant as I prepared to leave withoutordering anything and in disappointment, I wondered if the genius who set up the cutoff time and not advertising it realized howmuch business they are losing because of such a poor business decision. In the highly competitive restaurant business the key isto keep diners happy and coming back, not driving them away. It looks like I'll be dining at one of the other 5 plus Italianrestaurants in Easton that are on par or better than this place. Well done Porticello! Read more

*3.75 Stars.....I rounded up.* The parking is very easy here and very easy to find. The restaurant is clean and pleasant with... basic tables and chairs. They do not cramp the space at all and it's nice because you have a little more privacy when talking toyour party. The staff were pleasant and we were seated right away and actually given a choice of tables to choose from. I wassurprised since it was 5:30 on a Saturday and I would expect the place to be much busier. We had 4 in our party and ordered 2apps, a few drinks, and 4 entrees. We had crab cake app which was a special I believe ($?) and stuffed mushrooms ($16) I hadscallops over a creamy butternut squash ($32) other entrees were Chicken Sorrento ($24), Fra Diavolo Al Scoglio ($38), GnocchiAlla Checca ($22). We all also had a cesare salad each. Scallops Risotto was good but there wasn't much flavor and the risottowas overcooked and the scallops were a bit more cooked then I would expect. I did taste the Chicken Sorrento and that had a lotmore flavor then my dish. The other entrees of the Fra Diavolo & Gnocchi Alla Checca were said to be delicious. The portions allaround were just right as well. The appetizer I had was the crab cakes, they give you two, and I think they were on the specialsmenu because I can't find it on their menu on their website. Anyways, they were ok. The stuffed mushrooms were enjoyed by othersin our party but I did not try any. I must say they were very small and maybe that is all that is available now, but I feel thatI usually see a little more on the plate for sruffed mushrooms appetizers. They did comment they were delicious. The Ceasarsalad I had was a little dry and needed maybe a tablespoon or two more dressing, and the plate was warm. Typically a salad plateis chilled but that is one small detail. They do have anchovies, much to my delight. A ceasar without anchovies really isn't aceasar. Our party had a few mixed drinks and a few glasses of wine (8 alcoholic beverages Read more

The location is easy to find. A decent amount of parking spaces. The decor inside was wonderfully put together and exudes... elegance. The only negative is the wait time for drinks and meals. It took 30-45 minutes just to receive our drinks(I ordered aprosecco for reference). The Ford took over an hour to be served. I tried to order the lava cake and was told it would take over20 minutes to serve and that I was better off ordering something else. Read more

While visiting family in N. Easton and getting gas next door, I saw the restaurant and their sign read Tuesdays, "buck a shuck".... It was Tuesday, so I returned that evening hoping the oysters would be good. My first impression was a friendly greeting fromthe hostess, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. The oysters were some of the best I have ever had, served with lemon, cocktail sauce, and horseradish. They also served a pickled red onion, and it was an excellent compliment. I looked over themenu, which is very extensive, and found Calamari but it was breaded and deep fried. When I asked if they would prepare itsautéed, they accommodated my request, and it was excellent as well. One of the best restaurant experiences I have had in along time, and the staff are very well trained and friendly; a truly great experience! Thanks much to the owners andmanagement! Respectfully, Terry Read more
