Growing up in a highly Portuguese neighborhood I have been skeptical about trying NJ Portuguese food but from the moment I... walked in, you could tell the vibes were right. Immediately was greeted with water, bread, and salad. Our server was nice andthe service was more European style as he wasn't always coming up to us and asking if we wanted anything else which was verymuch appreciated. Ordered Caldo Verde and it was $4; this filled me up but I still indulged my main which was enough formultiple people. Food was very delicious and servers were friendly. The only downside of this restaurant is they have a 2 hour per table limit... posted every where to make sure it's seen and you feel rushed. As regular patrons of the Fisherman we have never been disappointed. Recently I hosted a Baby Shower in the Wine Room. I... cannot begin to tell you the excellent raves I received from the guests. The food, Sangria and service was compared to a miniwedding. Beginning with the table settings to ending with the custom-made Teddy Bear Cake supplied by the Fisherman wasawesome. I selected family style dinners and believe you me the trays of food were amazing. Before the first tray was finishedthere was another hot one being served.
