OUTSTANDING the first time as people hyped it to be; giving it a second go ya know. We ordered steaks medium well and a couplesides. Drinks were great by the way!!!!! The food came out and when I say not hot at all, not hot. As if the food was sitting ina to go box on the kitchen counter. I told my waiter (Great Waiter by the way) that we don’t want the food because the tempand taste of the food. The manager came out and stated “We haven’t one order returned tonight and I touched the food and thefood was hot. What’s the problem?” I easily informed him that we don’t want the food because it’s not hot and the tasteisn’t as expected. I told him it doesn’t compare to what we are use to which is Ruth Chris Steakhouse ( GOOD HOT FOOD). Hemade the statement that maybe we should just stick with Ruth Chris as if they shouldn’t be compared to Ruth Chris’sstandards of food service which is GOOD HOT FOOD. And to the fellow readers, if you haven’t heard the waiter/waitress tellyou to be careful because this plate is 500 degrees, you haven’t EXPERIENCED A GOOD STEAK!!!!!!! Mesquite Chophouse - “Less for more.” Went as a group of 5 for a birthday. The appetizer bread was hard and difficult to... cut. The NY strip myself and another guest had were more fat than edible meat, see below for a picture of the remaining fat. Forthe meat itself, it was cooked to the upper end of medium well when medium rare was requested and had very little flavor. I havenever had this much fat or this far off of doneness in a strip before today. The only redeeming qualities were the other guestswho had different cuts that were cooked appropriately with appropriate amounts of fat. When you can go to chili’s and get abetter quality steak, you’re doing something wrong as a steakhouse. Will not be returning, there are other steakhouses nearbyfor similar pricing that far exceed the quality you will receive here. Read more
