Hearth and Harbor's food was absolutely amazing and delicious. While there was a bit of a wait it was well worth it. During our... wait we were able to get a drink and enjoy the gorgeous outdoor area. Once we sat down our server was extremely personable andvery knowledgeable about this menu taking us through their opinion of each dish in a very candid and refreshing way. If I couldhave I would have ordered everything. We ended up having the prosciutto toast, the gnocchi and then pepperoni and garlic pizza.Everything was superb and I would glad come back any time. It will always be on our travel list! Also don't forget to ask aboutthe story behind the piece of art hanging in the middle of the restaurant will be surprised. Don't pass up this place it is wellworth the trip and the wait. Oh one last thing, while we did not have the Caesar salad I have to mention how pleasantlysurprised and happy I was to see that it was made in the authentic and original way. Generally I find that restaurants will editthe Caesar recipe for their own twist but Hearth and Harbor provides you the true authentic Caesar which I always appreciateand will always recommend people try so they can experience how a Caesar truly is supposed to be. Kudos to the chef for aphenomenal experience and for phenomenal food ???? Read more

My husband and I went here while in Maine for our honeymoon and they did not disappoint. We got the Caesar salad and cornbread... apps, pepperoni pie, and chicken gemelli (per our waitress?s recommendations). I can honestly say this was the best food we haveever gotten at a restaurant!! I highly recommend eating at the chef counter and watching them make the food. I am amazed howwell this restaurant is ran and how efficient they are. Be warned - it gets busy fast! We arrived at 4:50 and waited outsideuntil 5 (on a Wednesday night) when they opened and the restaurant was full by 5:15. We want to thank everyone at thisestablishment but a special thank you to Caroline our waitress and chef Zack (I *think* I have the names correct - if not I?mvery sorry!!) for killing it with the oven foods. Amazing food. We arrived at 7pm and joyfully waited for a table in the back playing Jango. The pizza were legit neapolitan style... pies. And wood smoked fish app looked as good as it tasted. But the dessert were the biggest hit. Who puts basil oil onblueberries with cream?! Read more

To echo many of the earlier reviews I?ve read, my family and I are on vacation, and staying in Bar Harbor. We?re vegetarians... which can make dining out more challenging in seaside cities. We were dreading going out to eat tonight when we stumbled acrossthis gem after a drive out to see the Bass Harbor lighthouse. Thank goodness! It was clean, warm, and well lit. The menu wassmall and they were full. Staff was friendly and happy to accommodate our vegetarian needs. This was the BEST meal we ate on theentire trip. The pizza, the bucatini, the spanakopita, the donuts for dessert. Come here, you won?t regret it. Read more

Hands down the best food we had in all of Acadia! (and we ate plenty in Bar Harbor) We got the pepperoni pie and spicy fennel... sausage pie and just WOW! Straight flavor town. ????????We?re from Brooklyn and eat pizza all the time, but this just hit on adifferent level ? so delicious we finished both pies with no problem, plus the bread is thin so doesn?t feel as heavy. ALSO doyourself a favor and order the ZEPPOLE for dessert. Absolutely delectable. ???? Oh and the staff and owners are so friendly. The kitchen is open-style so you get to watch all the magic happen. I cannot recommend this enough to ???? lovers! Read more
