They have remodeled and it look quite nice inside. The food is excellent, and affordable. The staff is very in tune with the... guests, you can tell the pay attention and talk to you on a first name basis. The bartenders there are amazing as well. Small locals casino with a good slot machine selection and a few table games. The machines are hit and miss as with any other... casino. I will say, the WV in my opinion is probably the classiest locals casino in the northern Nevada area due to their decorand clientele. They do a good job of keeping the beggars out of their establishment which is always a plus when you just wantto go and have a good time without people asking you for cigs and or money. We went to Poncho Willie's last evening, the waiter was fantastic and he was very attentive seeing to our needs. I was there on... a job interview so this made it very nice not to have to worry about the service. Now the food was outstanding, such bigportions I had the #2 combination and brought half of it home and I do love Mexican food. I would easily give this place a 10overall. Western Village In & Casino is slightly off the beaten path but worth the effort. It's currently undergoing rennovations which... will likely improve the overall aesthetics. The rooms are comfortable with nice linens (lousy pillows) and and thoughtfulamenities like a mini fridge and makeup mirror. The location provides easy access to the highway and is only a short drive tothe downtown area. I'd return here and recommend it to other travellers. Read more
