Fabulous little winery tucked in the hills of Owen County. My sister lives nearby and said it was a requirement while I was... visiting. We both purchased a wine flight and a bread board. We whiled away a lazy afternoon on the porch. Read more
Excellent place for local wines made from local sourced ingredients. This is a family run winery, with a wonderful selection.... Crimson and cream, a rose wine, is their flagship, but my personal favorite is their fruit wines. Persimmon, blueberry,blackberry, and more. Off the beaten path, or just 4 miles outside Spencer Indiana, this gem of a winery is worth a stop tocheck out the vineyards, the wines and the food. Yes, the winery also has a small kitchen with some wonderful food. Owen ValleyWinery also host an annual festival called the Harvest Moon, usually the first Saturday of October. Kitchen was closed 2 minutes before we walked in. Having never been there, we had no idea. The staff was so accommodating to... provide us with snack tray foods anyways. I'm a firm believer that indiana struggles with its dry wines and their wines ringtrue with this thought. However, their sweet wines are amazing. The blackberry was amazing. The outdoor area is so peaceful,completely surrounded by nature and with games for kids to enjoy.
