As described in the name, real food abounds. I am a fan of their Mexican and malts. It is a window order drive in style but plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor. Please support them as highway 63 right out their door is under construction but you can still get to Sam's. Definitely family friendly but does have beer. A must stop for me when in beautiful NW Sconnie.

BEST Cheeseburger EVER. This is what I wanted for Mother's Day ?. Everything is cooked fresh to order and they take their time. I recommend calling in your order ahead of time for the patio or for take out. A MUST stop on your way to or through Spooner, WI!

It was a wonderful outdoor dinner and Christina was awesome, I would only make one suggestion on gyro recipe considering that it could be just mine and one other person's personal taste. The sause was sweet which is unusual taste, comparing to many other gyro places we have eaten. We prefer regular tetraziki sauce over the sweet kind. Other than that, the place is awesome and service is fantastic, definitely going back there again.

Wow. This place is the real deal. I?m not sure why it is called a ?drive in?, maybe for search results, but this place was awesome. Large menu of items. Delicious food. Great ice cream treat selection for desert. I had the chimichanga as other reviewers said to get. Phenomenal. I asked for some of their hot sauce (about the same ?heat? as the green sauce at chipotle) and that moved the chimi from great to ridiculously good. My friend had the Super Nachos and those looked delicious and he said they were. Another guy near us had a rueben. That looked great also. Large portions. In the Covid times, they do have a front porch with covered tables to sit at. They also have a screen porch with a couple tables if it?s buggy or raining. They do a LOT of takeout so don?t be shy about calling up and ordering to go. They have a side window specifically for take out orders. It?s a really good system. The previous reviews prompted me to give Sam Hicks a try when I was in Spooner. The food was so good, I?m going back to Spooner on vacation just to eat here again. This place is FIVE minutes from the golf course if you?re playing a round and looking for lunch afterward. The ONLY negative is they are only open until 4PM on Sundays. Not really a negative. But if you?re planning supper on Sunday, and you want Sam Hicks, just know you need to order a bit earlier. I?ll definitely be back. Thanks for the great meal!

Went there for the first time at the suggestion of a friend. Two of us had the ground beef taco salad and two had the turkey. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, hot sauce was hot for sure. It lacked guacamole but I am not in TX anymore and it probably would have cost $2 more if it did. The shell was fresh and tasty as well. We were filled up when done with the salad so we didn?t try the ice cream. Next time we go for dessert! The woman who took our order and served us was very friendly and helpful, big welcoming smile on her face. It was hard to choose what to have because there were so many interesting things to order from. I enjoyed the taco salad so much I know I will have to force myself to order something else. Prices were comparable to other restaurants in town. We sat outside in the screened section and there was a delightful breeze blowing through it. I enjoyed the whole experience and will be going back soon.

Food was what you?d expect. Great sweet potato fries, but the chicken strips were less than stellar. They have a pretty broad menu of mostly pub food. The ice cream options looked pretty appealing, but we were too stuffed to try anything. Friendly service, and a great spot for our dogs on the patio.

Friendly service, tasty food, nice selection, yummy ice cream.

The Supreme Burrito is my favorite! Don't get here often enough to try other items. My wife had their grilled chicken sandwich and said it was the best she's had in a long time. It's a drive in so don't expect any fancy dining rooms. Walk up window with friendly staff.
