This looks like buffalo wings, not General Tsp’s Chicken. I read the reviews and based my order on that and tried some new... things and spent $150 on Sesame Beef that looks and feels like BEEF JERKY! The orange chicken, which used to be great, is notnow. If I were actually at the restaurant, I would send it all back and I don’t do that! I have never donethat! Regretfully, I talked my husband into Chef Chan’s; he wanted Red Phoenix! Next time, I will submit to my husband, likea good Christian girl! PS forget chef Chan’s (except I do like the wonton soup and cheese puffs) and order the Hunan Chickenat Red Phoenix! No, I do not work for red Phoenix…I am a nurse (someone who actually cares about other people) and I justdon’t want you to make the same EXPENSIVE mistake I made. The food was lacking flavor it was either too sweet like the general tso or too salty like the happy family. House fried rice... was bland too. One of the waitresses approached us and asked us if there was something wrong and we expressed our opinionregarding general tso’ color and she said we must be confused. My first time here. Good food, good service. The General Tso's could use more heat.
The environment is near and clean. The atmosphere is good. The gentleman behind the counter was genuine. HOT & SOUR SOUP - when... I have Chinese hot and sour soup is a must have. I asked to please make it spicy. I was told it's pre-made. To furtherdisappoint me it had way to much vinegar and was extremely sour. And it was thick like 70 weight gravey. UNAPPEALING and theworst soup by far I have had. FRIED WONTON - WONTON is expensive and made to oder. Just a tip when you make to order thenoodles are under cooked and still taste raw.
