One of the last authentic mom n pop operations in the area, the wagon wheel is a family owned business that has been around for... what seems like forever. Eating a meal here feels like a happy visit to grandma's house, and every person who walks throughtheir door is treated like an old friend. The service staff is always quick to recognize and respond to their customers needswhile wearing bright comforting smiles. My friends and I love this place because every item on their menu tastes just like a bigbite of happier times, and every visit is certain to inspire nostalgia. The best part about this restaurant is the friendly people that work there. We had dinner there, and had a chicken fried steak... and fried shrimp. It was all good, but pretty bland. I had a cup of chili that I really enjoyed. The sides were good, butagain, bland. We had a pair of desserts to go and had them in our cabin later that evening; chocolate cake and pecan pie.
