Amazing breakfast today, they were packed (Sunday) but we got great service and excellent food as usual!
Been here multiple times before the new ownership and always a great experience. Stopped in today under new ownership and was... very disappointed. Waited for 40 minutes. I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, crispy bacon and toast. The eggs were raw, hashbrowns were cold and raw, bacon was limp and toast was cold. Girlfriend ordered a breakfast horseshoe. Gravy looked like cheesesauce, eggs were raw and bacon was burnt in the horseshoe. After telling a waitress and asking for it to be fixed she proceededto yell at another server and cooks about how our food is fine but we want it re made. She was very unprofessional and loudenough the whole restaurant could hear her about our food. She has ruined this restaurant for us. D&J have one of my favorite burritos in Springfield! It?s the shell, and I don?t know if it is homemade or just grilled in a way... others so. It but it is by far my favorite. My wife is a bit like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally and they get her orderright, which is hard to do. She likes everything but her eggs crispy, nearly black. Toast dry, rye extra toasted (black), deepfried extra crispy bacon (black) extra crispy hash-browns or American fries Really close to black and they nailed it first timeso we go back. Prices are fair and you can check yourself out using the check out app at the table and avoid personal contactat the register if you need. If you are like me and love quirky humor, check out the bathroom walls. The stories and sayingsthere are hysterical and give you something else to think about while your there. Recommend highly! While the service was ok, the food was adequate at best. We had breakfast. The pancakes I had were tasteless. It has been many... years since we have been in there. It will be many more before we go back. Read more
