We recently revisited the leffel Ln location in Springfield Ohio. There was a monthly special me and my wife ordered and... upgraded our side to the "loaded mashed potatoes." We received something that didn't look anything like the photo on the menu.It was a scoop of instant potatoes from an ice cream scoop with a sprinkle of cheese, and it was cold. I called it the unloadedmashed potatoes. My wife asked for gravy to make it worth what we paid for. My son ordered a hamburger, he received a hamburgerpatty on a plate. No seasoning, bun, lettuce, tomato ect. 1/2# patty on a plate for $10.50. We all paid 50 cents extra to haveapple butter with our buiscut. A pie that didn't even have whip cream on it. However the service was amazing, doing that bestshe can to overcome the kitchens failing results. Cracker barrel is being very obvious at cutting portions, and corners whileraising prices to extend profits, all at the consumers expense. Shame on you cracker barrel. And please don't give me thegeneric response that you give others, to make a review on your own system where cracker barrel can Control who can view thereviews. Read more
Took my mother to birthday breakfast this morning. I knocked off a couple stars due to food. Her favorite breakfast that she... only purchase was broken up and moved to sides. This reduces the size of portion and increases price. The biscuits have fallenin quality. The appearance was a shadow of what they once were. Inside they weren't cooked through and were gummy. On anothernote the service was wonderful, the waitress always had a smile. She came by frequently to refresh our drinks. Read more
Great service and very good food. The portions were large and very tasty.
My husband and I went with another couple around lunch time We started with the hash brown tots? They were SOOOO GOOD came out... hot and fresh. I ordered the sampler with blueberry pancakes they were the only thing I ate from my meal and they were great. Myhusband and his friend ordered the southern fried chicken with the turnip greens the turnip greens had smoked turkey in themthey were delicious. The fried chicken came piping hot fresh out of the grease and was seasoned pretty well. My friend orderedthe fried shrimp with hushpuppies her shrimp was my favorite thing from lunch it was seasoned and cooked perfect. The biscuits!!MY GOSH the best biscuits I had in my life. This location use to be great! My visit today was ruined by inept cooking skills and lack of care! The whole reason we went... there was for the chicken dinner but they were out. That?s ok, there?s a lot of shortages going around. But, then we ordered thefried chicken tenders and those came out as tough as nails! I don?t know how these tenders passed through multiple hands withoutbeing condemned! They were returned and I guess the manager told our waitress that they are good cause they just came out of thefryer. Well, if that?s the case they must have been in there for 20 minutes cause they were extremely over cooked. We are avidcustomers but might not be after tonight! Read more
