We found this place via Edify's review of the best restaurants in Edmonton. Tryst was an excellent location for date night. The... food was excellent and designed to share . Tryst's chef is a magician when it come to flavor. We would recommend the shrooms andold fashioned cocktail. Both were excellent. Read more

my partner and I stopped in for brunch and everything we ate was insanely good! I love the style of small plates and getting to... taste a lot of different things. the menu is creative and we had a hard time choosing, everything sounded so yummy... weoriginally had just stopped for a cocktail and a visit but couldn't stop ordering more plates ???? we can't wait to go back andtry their dinner menu! The food at Tryst was pretty good but the "Bao" was a bit strange as the green onion cake used for it was a bit too dense to... serve as a proper Bao. Read more

I would say my first dining experience at Tryst was fairly good. We were a table of three and ordered seven plates to share (one... of which I forgot to take a photo of!) We were full at the end of meal and even had a couple pieces of fried butter chicken totake home. I would give four stars for the food. My favorites were the house-made sourdough bread with whipped brown butter andthe ling cod. The one thing that struck me as odd was that I wouldn't call Tryst a "casual" restaurant, and yet the hostess andwaitresses were dressed very casually. For example, the hostess wore a pair of high-waisted pink pants with a cropped t-shirtand a Lululemon crossbody bag while our server wore a white tank top with thick straps and a white mini skirt. There is nothingwrong with dressing comfortably; I just didn't think it went with the vibe of the restaurant. The service was inconsistent. Thefirst few dishes came out quickly and then the last two dishes appeared to have been forgotten. A server (not the one we had theentire night) asked if we were still waiting for more dishes. When we said there were still two remaining, she followed up withthe kitchen. Our waitress was still around, but did not serve us for the remainder of the evening. There wasn't anycommunication about the servers switching, so it left us kind of confused. Read more

Small restaurant but packed with personality. The drinks are amazing and food was really good. They have a lot of options for... meat eaters and vegetarians. Staff was also friendly. Read more
