Did someone say brunch? Southwest Diner is a great spot to grab brunch if you are looking for Tex-Mex flavors. Not all of their... menu is Tex-Amex inspired, and you can find traditional brunch options like biscuits and gravy and pancakes. I would recommendadding your name to the Yelp waitlist, though, since this seems to be a popular spot, and wait times can be long. Here's the deal! The food was spicy good. This place is worth your time. I've had the food of the Southwest and it took me back... to Albuquerque. So get your taste buds ready for the old Southwest. The decor of the restaurant was eye pleasing but yet notoverbearing. The staff was friendly and kind and made you feel welcome. Side note it is always a pleasant experience to be inthe presence of people who enjoy doing their job and doing what they love to do. It comes out in the service and in the foodthat is being cooked. The two stars gained are strictly for the service because that was great but the food?TWO THUMBS DOWN!!!! The grits dish had... absolutely no flavor like not even salt could help it. Then they put all the red sauce on there and it?s nothing but spice?stillno flavor just hot. The burrito was edible but once again not a lick of flavor just BLAND!!!!!
