Kingsbury location. Service was sleepy slow , food was decent ( nothing to write home about ) we had to ask the hostess to send... our waitress over so we could order ( after being seated for 20 minutes). We waited over 1/2 hour to get our food once ordered.Mind you the waitress had not returned to ask if we needed anything or an update on our breakfast status, another waitressfinally delivered our breakfast ( not a big deal) no one came by to ensure our food was to our liking!! Again had to ask thebuss staff for more coffee. Still haven?t seen our waitress. We finished our meal and waited another 20 minutes before havingto request a to go box and our check, which took another 10 minutes to get , I paid at the register and that took over 10minutes to complete. Not sure what is going on at this location but we will not be back. Staff seemed very unmotivated,uncaring and just appeared to not wanting to be there. As a side note, when we arrived there were 2 spots open at the bar whichwe were very willing to take . The hostess responded that they perter to have one seat between guests. However during ourtime there people came and left the bar with no empty seat between guests. I?m so confused why we couldn?t have sat there whenthey clearly don?t follow their own rules. My husband and I ordered ?the usual? and the kids got the Mickey Mouse pancakes, gravy & biscuits and the 1 egg, toast and... bacon. Everything was amazing! I?m from Southwest Va and I?m very picky about gravy and biscuits because most people can?t makethem right but they did awesome! Would definitely visit again if we come back to Lake Tahoe! My second time eating at the Red Hat Cafe. I actually walked out of another restaurant to go here as I knew they had terrific... breakfast food. French toast is delicious as is the biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, and of course the coffee andservice. Read more
Delicious breakfast and great service. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a comforting, home-cooked breakfast.
