No longer called Waterside. This is now redone as Paradise Island located in Atlantic Marina off Ellis St. They have a long... covered outdoor bar with seating facing the marina, waterway, and Harbor Pt in Perth Amboy. Also in view is the Outerbridge andthe not so pretty white tanks. The drinks were good albeit served in clear plastic cups. The food we tried was all excellentwhich was surprising. My favorite app was grilled octopus..best I've had. The steamers were served in delicious white winestyle broth...normally these type of clams are served with just own broth for rinsing and butter...but they were all already soclean. You can come here in the day with your coverup and shorts. Plenty of outdoor lounge furniture and groupings along withoutdoor tables with umbrellas. We were there on a dry breezy day so was very comfortable sitting under shaded bar. Pepperonipizza was decent too. Menu is a bit pricey but if the food remains this good I will keep going back for a seat at the bar.Unfortunately table service doesnt have much of a view. I can't wait until they have happy hours and blackboard specials forcatch of the day or in season seafood. Tottenville needs more waterfront places like this. I hope they do well. Read more
Was a good place, but isn't open anymore it moved somewhere else new restaurant is opening called paradise Island
We didn't stay because we were looking for a quiet, more romantic atmosphere, but will be back for a more party like experience.... The menu looks great, several vegetarian options, and great music. Nice view across the water. Read more
