Highlight was the cheerful and patient waitress. Comfort food was good and plentiful.
I'm slightly disappointed today. Our waitress was great. The meatloaf was also delicious. The cornbread and this app.... ugh.... Lacking significantly. Dry cornbread to not when butter could recover it's moisture. This app though? See the picture. Loadedtots? The tots were barely warm. The cheese and bacon looked like it was thrown in there right before sending to the table.Couldn't even pick up a tot that would hold the bacon or cheese. Nothing was warmed or cooked together. Stopped here for dinner on the way home from visiting family out of town. Courteous, quick service. Very tasty meatloaf and... mashed potatoes. Nice spur-of-the-moment dining experience on July 3rd! Would definitely eat here again when in the area at mealtime. Read more
I will start with the positive since I don't like giving bad reviews. The service was great. I confess I haven't been to a... cracker barrel in a few years but wow has this place gone down hill. Portion sizes were absolutely paltry. I had biscuits andgravy which included three of the smallest, most tasteless biscuits I've ever seen or had. Honestly I could have gone toMcDonald's and paid half and got biscuits three times the size. My wife had chicken French toast which apparently is made withregular sandwich bread these days and came with two of the thinnest, smallest most overcooked pieces of fried rubber one couldimagine. No more huge fluffy goodness of the past I guess. Overall I would compare the food quality to a waffle house but withsmaller portion sizes. Won't be back. Just save your money folks, cracker barrel is on the way out of business. Read more
