Worth going out of the way for.. this ice cream stand is everything you've ever dreamed of when going out for ice cream..I love... the retro decor almost as much as the food. The banana split was mind blowing! Old fashioned custard style ice cream with awalnut syrup, strawberry preserves and the creamiest whipped cream. It was the best banana split I've ever had. We are in Staunton for travel alot so how could we have missed this treasure! Great nostalgic ice cream shoppe, open, airy,... clean, back in the day whimsy decor and a very nice efficient staff. I ordered a small cherry shake thinking going to be justflavored syrup but NO! Fresh ULTRA creamy beyond delicious cherry ice cream with cherry bits. I think the best ice cream I haveever tasted.
