Dine in lunch My daughter and I stopped by to have a late lunch. When we arrived it was 1:45 pm or so. They close at 2 pm. We... asked them if we were too late to order. She looked stressed and said are you going to visit or something. She kept raising hereye brows and it felt like we should have left at that point. Our mistake, we stayed because we ate here before and it wasgreat. This lunch was not so great. My daughter ordered a French dip--fairly easy. The aujus was tepid and did not have anyflavor. I tasted it and it was like warm light brown water. We asked our waitress if it could be replaced as it didn't tasteright, no seasoning. She told us in a very loud voice, THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED! Then she said it's the same thing we've served allday. No solution was offered. I told my daughter we have aujus at home, we'll just take it home. We couldn't find anyone in therestaurant to get a to go box, so I went to the back to find someone. There was no one in the restaurant but my daughter and I.I noticed the back door was a little ajar. All the staff was out back smoking and bad mouthing customers! I went about half wayback to our table and they came in through the door asking what do you want? I asked for a couple of small to go boxes. The billcame to over $30.00 for lunch. When I went to pay, I couldn't leave a tip for such terrible service; as if we were a burden toenter their establishment. We asked them in the beginning if it was past the time to order, we get that they were probably tiredand eager to close and get off work. We did not deserve that kind of treatment, we would of gone somewhere else, it would havebeen no big deal! We will not be going to this restaurant again. Maybe you have to know them or be related to them or be a"regular" to get good service. We were very disappointed and will not go back. Read more
Great local restaurant in downtown Stayton. They have amazing breakfast plates and homemade food. The wait staff is also... incredibly helpful and friendly. There is also a large room to have meetings or private events for about 20. Read more
Yum yum yum!! Covered Bridge Cafe has amazing food, this place was bustling with people. Everyone was friendly and I swear my... iced tea was never more less than half full. I know they have other options on the menu but chicken fried steak every time! Eatinside or outside the choice is yours, but this is Oregon and the weather doesn?t always cooperate. If you are lucky to have anoutside table I saw people with their pups! This local restaurant is one of the best around for breakfast! Read more

I love the decoration with the pictures and artwork of different covered bridges. I love the little, round-edged tables. The... veggie baked potato could have been better. The half-cooked tomatoes, bell peppers, avocado, sour cream, and cheddar was allgood on top. You should have thinly sliced red onion strips on it instead of diced onion. They should be caremalized to bringout that certain depth of flavor. The half-cooked crunchy onion dices was not good... You should sautee your mushrooms moreinstead of the (micorwave??) warmed state they were in. Makes them much more flavorful and more suited for something like anomelet and baked potato. Those alone brought the entire dish to a 3 instead of 5... Read more
