We were looking for a new go-to for date night and OH, MY GOODNESS, this restaurant did not disappoint! Fabulous experience. We... don't get them often, but I can't wait for our next date night. This made them even sweeter. ?? Read more
This placed has great advertisement and reviews. The chef’s name behind it had appeared on national tv. Menu resembles high... end restaurants and the prices to match. Unfortunately the place does not live up to the expectation they build. Our pork bellyappetizer was a crawfish appetizer. The staff never came with a wine chiller. Our waitress told us that she will be so busy thatyou have to flag her down in case she was absent. To her credit, she did come around and ask if the food was ok often. Thestakes were ok. The wine of expectedly over priced. The food took a long time because they were busy. The ambiance was nice butthe tables were too close together, given a small town feel, would expect more room. It is trying to be a NYC/LA/Paris/restaurant but unfortunately it’s just a small town place with a big city price, mediocre food, subpar service. The steak was rare when we ordered medium. The carrot side was a large carrot on a plate. My fish was not cooked enough. The... bread pudding was large chunks of bread in a bowl. Absolutely amazing!!! This was our first time at Newton at The Cellar and words alone can not express how wonderful everything... was. The experience we had here was top notch, the staff was friendly and very helpful when explaining the menu options andspecials. The drinks were spot on with many options to chose from cocktails to wine but the food was by far the best part! Mywife got the smoked chicken and I got the chicken fried NY strip. The chef himself come out to make sure everyone in therestaurant was well taken care and we couldn't of had a better experience at Newton's.
