I can see the low reviews here on Google, but I have to say this place was just as good as ever. My wife and I have been coming... here for years. We live out of state, but this place was great. The wild rice soup we had was the best on our entire triparound the entire Midwest in the state of Minnesota. The walleye sandwich was one of the best we had. The beer selectionwasn’t great, but the quality of the food was very good. And you cannot beat the location to look at the river. Read more

This is a gem if you want to dine out in Stillwater. Being on the southern edge, you can typically miss the intense traffic and... crowd of people found downtown. I recommend the Smoked BLT with Candied bacon, lettuce, and all the fixings. It comes ontoasted sourdough bread topped with tarragon aioli. The Dock Wild Rice Soup is superb. It came hot and fresh – very creamyand tasty. The burger and chips was very good; so is the black Caesar salad. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful. He suggestionto try the Red Wedge Salad let me to be adventurous. It’s made up of bacon, seasonal tomatoes, red onion, huge plumpblackberries with a very good blue cheese dressing. The lettuce was cold, crisp and served as whole leaves, which was veryattractive and easy to cut into bit sizes. I’d recommend making a reservation. It’s ideal for riverside dining as you areright near the water’s edge. They have a bar area both inside and outside. If you are still thinking about COVID and beingsafe, outside is great. You will love the great view of the St. Croix River. Personally, I’d skip on the Bloody Mary. Wearrived right after a rain at the noon hour on a Sunday; it seemed to get busy right after that. So parking was easy for us butas we left others were circling to try and find a spot. You have good choices for dining either indoors or outside. Great service but it’s busy so call ahead for a reservation. The food comes hot and fresh. Perfect location on the riverside... (it’s the only restaurant directly on the water). They also have a bar area outside which looked mega fun. Read more

Had to try an old staple, one that I actually cooked at for 15yrs.. working my way up from dishwasher to line cook. I know that... it's a different owner, different time but it was quite sad. First off I noticed just how over priced it was. My fiance and Ihad the fried portobello to start, 18 bucks for some sliced mushrooms that were fried. 4 main dishes on the menu and when wewere there they were out of the sword fish so now 3 options, this didn't include the steak but I could go anywhere else and geta steak WITH sides for less than their 45-68$ options with no sides included. 1 option for vegetarians which in my opinion in2022, is weak and there is no excuse for it. I had the classic chicken wild rice soup, about 1.5 pieces of chicken, poor onflavor and barley warm. My fiance ordered the Alfredo no protein. Was okay for just sauce and noodles, however it tasted likethe cook mixed up shallots for garlic because it was heaven on shallot flavor. My main dish was the whiskey butter salmon.Salmon was overcooked, dry. No flavor to the butter and came with only the wild rice which was missing any and all flavor aswell. The side salad was the best part because whoever made the blue cheese.. props to you!! Overall, I wasn't disappointedbecause I had low hopes and knew what I was getting us into. The bill for all this was close to 100 dollars for something thathad less flavor than the local Applebee's up the road. If you're in Stillwater, sail clear of The Dock because that little has ALOT more to offer for food than just this place. Used to be a staple. Should be revamped again. Read more
