Menu for Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT

We had lunch at the brewery and the food was excellent. Portions were generous enough that we shared 1 salad, 1 lunch plate, and... a dessert. The location is beautiful and of course the history of the von Trapp family is part of the draw. Beautiful scenery and so much to do! We took advantage of several of the tours, which are a good way to see the rest of the... lodge. No food/breakfast is included, which is a bit surprising given the price point. We ate at the coffeehouse for breakfast,which was more affordable and the food was great. The main dinning options for dinner were nice as well. The rooms are cute withupgraded bathrooms and excellent views of the mountain range. Staff are very friendly as well. Read more

We didn't stay here but went there for a few hours. There are beautiful views all around! It's easy to see why the Von Trapp... family chose this location! We did go to the coffee shop. The baked goods and pastries are excellent! They had Apple Strudel -like in "a few of my favorite things" and it was very good. My favorite was the cinnamon roll! Amazing! Best I've had and I'vehad tons of cinnamon rolls in my life! I also got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, which was great, and I loved the home madeEnglish muffin it was made with! I recommend the hike up to the chapel. It's beautiful hike and not too far, though it's alittle steep at the end. Read more

This is a beautiful property. The location and views are epic. It is a quiet and relaxing experience overall. The trails... (visited in summer) are well maintained and marked, and suitable for walking, hiking, and biking. You will feel taken away fromall of your troubles and stress here. They really invest in everything to make it a great vacation or getaway or whatever youare looking for. That said, a few things I want to point out- as we are frequent travelers. I am sure there are reasons foreverything, but for the price to stay, there are some expectations. - Breakfast was underwhelming. We expected a full menu,but all that was available was a self-serve buffet. It was not that great either- the selection was limited. Add to that, wehad to eat inside, when the weather was good for the patio service. In COVID times this is a minus. - Our room, which was asuite, had several lights that were not working. Though it was clean overall, there were some details we noticed that could bebetter cleaned. - Unfortunately, there was an employee smoking cigarettes below our room's porch. That is unacceptable. Mosteverything else was great. The staff was helpful, the room was comfortable, the dinner experience on the patio wasexceptional. I would recommend staying here. Read more

We liked it, but it was not really what i was expecting. As out if the state and region travelers, we were surprised that it was... mostly a time share location. We are big Sound of Music fans. The lodge had a very expensive room for what you get. It wasclean, but a less than what I'd expect for a Hampton Inn. The TV was old and they don't allow you to hook HDMI up to it. Thehistory tour was neat, and i definitely recommend that!! I was expecting a bit more Austrian flair. The food was okay. The poolfacilities were okay. Read more
