I was out of town and ordered here. My husband teases me because I have a bad habit of wanting to try soul food everywhere we go... on vacation if there is a location in the area. Well, this place was down the street from our hotel! I ordered during lunchtime. I had the fried wings, mac and cheese, and yams. The wings were seasoned well. No issues. I asked for the wings to befried well. They were. Nothing worst then eating fried wings that are lightly fried. The candied yams were sweet as they shouldbe. It could be a personal preference as some might not like them too sweet. I did not think they were canned as some otherswrote. I did not like the mac and cheese. Personal preference, but I can't stand mozzarella cheese in mac and cheese. It takesthe flavor away and makes it taste dull. I'm positive there was mozzarella in it, but if I'm wrong, I still didn't like it.There wasn't any flavor. I also had the uptown which was very sweet. Too sweet for my preference, but it was good. I watered itdown a bit. The cornbread had a glaze on top which was sweet. No issues there. Overall, I would return and try the other itemsif I was in the area. I was leaving PA & was looking for some fried chicken (not from a fast food restaurant). Did a quick Google search & went out... my way because the pics looked DELICIOUS. I ordered a 4pc fried fish with yams & mac with a separate order of fried wings. Thefood is soooo good, I had to stop eating to leave this review. Everyone was very pleasant & the food is enough to serve 4people, but I'm eating it all....just not tonight. And the yams though!!!???? If you love food, then DEFINITELY support thisbiz.
