We only went to the Sudbury Rossini's once. That we went to the Concord Rossini's for years until it went downhill should be an... indication of how bad the Sudbury location was. Most of us (including me) got steak and cheese subs while my dad got a largepizza. My dad said he found the pizza not as good as it was at the Concord location. The rest of us - in unison, no less -hated the subs. When the melted cheese permeates the steak, it generally creates a savory sandwich with a palate-pleasinggooey-chewy texture. In our case, the steak and cheese individually weren't of decent or higher quality, so it already beganbad. It was made truly unsalvageable by what we noticed the further we bit into the sandwiches. The cheese permeated the steak,but in one of the grossest ways we ever experienced. The texture was excessively goopy, slimy even; we took this as anindication it was alarmingly low-end cheese ... or, a consideration we dreaded, that something else besides cheese was there. Asfor the latter, we guessed mayo, but if it was it was near-inedible. It was one of the worst take out experiences we've everhad. We haven't been back to the Sudbury Rossini's since. It may've improved since then for all we know, but considering thehorrendous first - and, thus far, only - impression, we won't be back in a hurry. Rossini?s has been struggling with consistency for some time now. One pie will have a base that is soupy, swimming in olive oil... and raw in the middle, next time it?s dry, crunchy and like cardboard. Sad, since their flavor is so good. We?ve been orderingdelivery pizza from Rossini?s for at least a decade now, but questioning if we need to look elsewhere.
