Great price for the amazing experience and quality of the food. Also excellent service. I spent my birthday dinner and the do a... little show for you, very nice actually! We ordered crawfish soup and fried shrimp as appetizers but when I say it tasted good,it was actually heaven. My wife and I usually come to Fernando's for special occasions. The atmosphere is somewhat dark and romantic. A good date... night place. Last night (Saturday), we decided just to dine here for no reason. The food here has ALWAYS been excellent. Ihad the El Hefe and it's always been the BEST beef filet I've ever eaten. No joke, I actually cut into my steak with my forkjust to show my wife the tenderness. You won't find that at Saltgrass or Longhorn. My wife decided to try the Corvina fish forthe first time. Very mild fish dipped in egg whites, lightly pan fried, with a butter sauce on top. There's NO egg on top asone person complained. My wife liked her fish, but she liked my steak better. We had the bread pudding for dessert. It was soso. One thing I need to explain about their service. If you want a quiet relaxing atmosphere with no rush service, thenFernando's is the place for you. If you want a noisy, tv infested dining option where they push you out as fast as you come in,then you might be better off at a chain restaurant. Fernando's service is paced out. Each time we go, this is their routine: They give you water and allow you to converse a bit before taking your drink order. You can always flag down your waiter or askfor the menu sooner. Plantain chips come out along with the menu. Once you order, the food comes out quickly. We never feelrushed. Last night, we were dining during a private event and our entrees still came out quick and hot. Fernando (owner)always comes out to talk. He doesn't even know us, but he'll come out and ask us about the food or just talk for a couple ofminutes. This treatment isn't just for the regulars he recognizes.
