I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food is at The Anchor. An off the beaten path, small neighborhood restaurant that I... would never have found had it not been recommended by friends. We shared the crab French fries which were delicious! I had thegrilled shrimp tacos, while hubby had The Anchor hamburger. The tacos were really good! Hubby said his burger was one of thebest he has had around here. We will definitely be going back. A special shout out to Shay, the waitress/bartender (greatBloody Mary!!). Service was great! Great, local bar/restaurant with great burgers, wings and sandwiches. The food was better than expected. Recommended.
A friend recently recommended the Anchor for ?the best burger around?. Must admit we?d been previously one time for wings and... didn?t like them too much. So when the burger crave happened we gave the Anchor a second try. She was right, BEST BURGERAROUND!!! Cooked to perfection, juicy and tender - you cannot go wrong. Fries were also great - nicely seasoned. This isdefinitely now our burger place. Oh! Service was great both times the past week. Shay was great during the week and (sorryforgot his name) but the main guy there on 6/4/22 was also great - even when about 25 bikers arrived at one time. GO. GET THEBURGER! Read more
Dropped by for lunch while in town. We had our doubts about the food since it looked like mostly a bar. However, the food was... excellent and the waitress was very thoughtful and helped us pick some good items. Husband is very picky about seafood and hewas pleasantly surprised to find the crab on the fries was real blue crab (not "krab"). The captain burger was amazing and thekids loved their cheeseburgers too. Would return. Read more
